Project Overview
This Station Improvement Fund 5 was focused around the coast of Cumbria starting at Penrith in the North, finishing at Barrow in the South.
McKee Associates were appointed to undertake station improvement surveys and designs for 35no. stations taking them to a GRIP 4 stage.
The station improvement works ranged from full station refurbishments to the roll out of ticket machines, CCTV and ANPR for operators Northern.
Designs were carried out to Network Rail standards, with Northern client approval on all schemes prior to construction.
